Book #9: I'm a Stranger Here Myself, by Bill Bryson.

This is a collection of brief columns first published in Night & Day magazine from 1996-1998. They mostly cover Bryson's mild culture shock upon returning to his native United States after two decades in the UK.

This is a quick, pleasant read. It's not Bryson at his absolute peak of performance, but it wasn't intended to be. I recommend it, but probably most readers will want to borrow it from the library rather than buy a copy.
